Use the Keyword Search or Advanced Search buttons to search our collection items available online. At this time we have a limited amount of photographs and library items available online. More records will be available online soon! Researchers may search our entire collection independently in our Research Room in the Beltrami County History Center.
Use the Random Images button to just browse the collection. Each Random Images page displays a random assortment of images from our records available online. If you find something that interests you, click the thumbnail to view a larger version of the image.
Use the catalog buttons (Archives, Photos, Libraries, & Objects) to search particular types of records. For example, if you only want to find Photographs, click the Photos button and type in your keyword(s) or phrase. You may also browse records within that catalog without performing a search.
Searches use OR as the default connector between words. For example, a search for Markham Hotel will return records associated with Markham OR Hotel.
Use AND to find records that contain multiple keywords (e.g. a search for Markham AND Hotel will return records associated with both Markham AND Hotel).
To search for a specific phrase, be sure to put the phrase within quotes (e.g. "Bemidji Water Carnival Parade").
You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard (e.g. a search for histor* would come up with records containing history, histories, historical, etc.). Searches are not case sensitive.
